TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01:
I will take up from Siliguri at 7 am near the railway station and will travel to Mane Bhanjan by local transport i.e. Regional Taxi. After settling your luggage in the dormitory, we will explore the town. Then spend a night at Mane Bhanjan.

Day 02:
We will leave for Tumling Village via Chitrey offering prayers to Buddhist Monastery. After completing the formality and filling up the form from Forest Department. The first 4kms of the trek is steep climbing to the mountain till ChitreyFrom Chitrey to Tumling the rest of the 9kms trek.

Day 03:
Sightseeing at Tumling Village will start with a beautiful sunrise at the horizon and a view of a sleeping Buddha. We will move towards Kalipokhri holding in between for lunch at Gairibas. The total distance we had to cover is 6kms. Now we had to trek more than 7kms for Kala Pokhri.

Day 04:
We will move to the Summit today. Take holy blessings from Klaipokhri and start the trek of 7 km to Aal via Sandakphu. The final route to the peak was quite difficult and exhausting, as the climb from here was sharp. It can take six hours to reach the summit of Sandakphu and another thirty minutes to Aal.

 

Day 05:

After the morning breakfast, we will leave for Gurdum. The trail from Sandakphu to Gurdum is the most isolated route, making it perfect for the trek. The tracks are in the midst of the dense forest with tall bamboo grass and no sign of human settlement. The unwinding route to the small village, Gurdum, in the thick of the jungle.

Day 06:

From Gurdum we will leave early in the morning around 7 am for the last trek of 6 km to Srikhola village. The trek route is easy from Gurdum with the tortuous trail that took us around three hours to complete. Very few transports, mostly small carriage trucks, are available from Srikhola to Rimbick. From Rimbick we will take transport to Darjeeling. Stay in Darjeeling.

Day 07:

From Darjeeling, we will move out for Siliguri according to the departure timings before 12 am which is the checkout time.

  • Accommodation includes a Dormitory in the package with breakfast (Maggi) and dinner.
  • Transportation includes Local Regional taxis.
  • I will guide you to the places included in the package and if you have a special request, please let me know in the comment.
  • Form fillup for permission for the trek with all its charges.
  • Local people are mandatory for this trek.

Exclusion:

  • Food i.e., Lunch not included in the package price. But I will guide you around as per your taste and as you wish to explore local dishes.
  • Personal expenses are not included.
