Current Terms & Conditions due to CoronaVirus (COVID-19)

In accordance with travel restrictions imposed by government advisories worldwide and as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect nations and people all over the world, we are giving the flexibility to the travelers to reschedule their trips and the payments done towards the trip will be available as a future travel credit. The payments done towards any trips can be transferred to a new date or another trip as well without any cancellation charge. If the guest chooses a trip or departure when fare/booking is more expensive than the original, they are responsible for the difference in price. Please note guests are responsible for any booking penalties imposed due to trip changes and/or cancellations.

What Do Travel Consultants Do?

Travel consultants assess the client’s needs and expectations for travel experience and then provide them with the best travel options. They work to build an ongoing relationship with the customer to open the door for future bookings through the company.

Travel consultants must be high energy and able to work in a fast-paced environment, as they often work with clients that have a wide variety of needs related to planning travel. Clients' travel needs maybe for work, vacation, or family. Regardless of the reason for travel, the consultant's goal is to ensure that every detail is taken care of and that no problems arise during travel.

Aspects of a trip that clients may coordinate include flight plans, hotel registration, car rentals.

They often are also responsible for coordinating trip activities. Travel consultants normally work in an office setting during regular business hours; however, some clients may require different hours because of time zones and schedules.

Customer service skills are very important in this job, as travel consultants work with clients on a daily basis and must effectively solve issues that may arise in the course of travel planning. The travel consultant must be well versed in basic computer software and highly organized, as clients need information in a timely fashion.

Travel Consultant Tasks

  • Work with airline and hotel services to find the best rates for customers.
  • Stay apprised of current travel industry rules and regulations and inform clients of changes that may affect them when traveling.
  • Maintain client loyalty program accounts and ensure proper point redemption procedures are followed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to create convenient and affordable travel plans.

Payments for Flights/Railway/Hotel/Resorts

For the services contracted, some advance payment should be made to hold on a confirmed basis & the full payment must reach us 90 days before the travel date in the case of the group and 60 days before in case of individuals (FIT). Solitary Traveller holds the right to decide on the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of service & the time left for the commencement of the service. Besides the above, in certain cases like Train Journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season or during fairs/festivals, full payment may be required in order to hold space on CONFIRMED BASIS. Please note that such payments are NON REFUNDABLE.

Mode of Payment

Payment can be made through PayPal, Netbanking, Paytm, and UPI. Sooner we will have our own payment gateway.

Details required for booking Flights/Railway/Hotel/Resorts

You must provide the information requested by the Solitary Traveller along with the final payment. If you fail to supply information required for air tickets, railways, hotel bookings, or other inclusions, you will also be liable for any costs, fees, or losses including failure to obtain or provide that inclusion. In the event that you fail to supply information required, Solitary Traveller also reserves the right to treat your booking (or the relevant component of your booking) as canceled and levy any cancellation fees deemed reasonable, in its sole discretion. We will not be held responsible for any fees you incur as a result of errors, omissions, inaccuracies, ate, misplaced or otherwise incomplete information you have provided.

Cancellations:

If you or any member of your party wishes to cancel your holiday, you must notify us in writing, in any case the date of cancellation will be at the date on which notice is received by the Solitary Traveller. As this incurs administrative cost and retention charges by hotel, the cancellation charges will apply on the following scale:

Liability:

We do not own or control hotels, coaches, or other facilities mentioned in the tour. As the travel consultant for the tour therefore, we cannot be held liable.

  • Where there has been no fault on the part of the company, supplier, or agents.
  • Where the failures in the performance of the contract are attributable to the customer.
  • Where the failures are attributable to a third party not connected with the provision of the holiday and are unforeseeable or unavoidable.
  • Where the failures are due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond your control.
  • Where the failures are due to an event in which you or your supplier even with all due care could not foresee or foretell.
